In the machine room of the open diesel generator set, the fan can be set up for forced ventilation if necessary. In a place far away from the unit, use a fan and a large-diameter air inlet pipe to introduce outdoor air into the machine room. The air outlet of the inlet pipe should be as low as possible, so that the introduced air can pass through the heat dissipation part of the generator set. The exhaust fan should be installed at the inner height, so that the high-temperature updraft can be discharged outdoors in time.

2. Achieve the optimal combination of ventilation and dustproof. There must be enough fresh air in the engine room, otherwise dirty air will reduce the power of the diesel engine. Dust can destroy the insulation between the engine rotors and burn the generator set. If the ventilation is good, the moisture-proof performance will inevitably be appropriately reduced. If you think too much about dust, it will affect the ventilation of the generator room. The two seemingly contradictory aspects require the generator room designer to calculate and coordinate according to the actual situation to achieve the optimal combination.

3. The space layout should be reasonable. The distance between the units and from the outer profile of the unit to the wall should meet the needs of handling equipment, local operation, maintenance and overhaul or arrangement of auxiliary equipment.
