When the working temperature of the engine is too high, part of the oil evaporates and vaporizes, and is discharged to the crankcase. Outside or sucked into the cylinder, the consumption under normal conditions is small, but when the condition of the engine becomes worse with time, the oil consumption increases.

B Reasons for excessive oil consumption.
1. Oil leakage: oil leakage of rear bearing oil seal of the crankshaft of diesel generator set, oil leakage of timing gear cover oil seal damage or improper installation, poor sealing of camshaft rear end cover, damage of other gaskets, or oil leakage due to loose and broken oil pipe joints, etc.
2. The compressor impeller shaft sealing ring of the exhaust gas turbocharger has lost its function.
3. The valve guide sealing cap is damaged, or the clearance between the intake valve stem and the guide tube is too large.
4. Excessive wear of the piston, piston ring, and cylinder wall increases the clearance between them, causing oil to penetrate the combustion chamber to take part in combustion.
5. The piston ring is not installed: the piston ring is aligned or stuck in the ring groove to make it lose its elasticity
C.Solution and exclusion method.
1. Check the oil leakage: if the oil drips outward from the edge of the flywheel or the rear end of the oil sump, it is the crankshaft rear oil seal leaking; if the oil flows outward along the cylinder block from the rear cover of the camshaft, it means the camshaft The seal at the rear end cover is not tight; if the oil is thrown out from the crankshaft pulley, it means that the timing gear cover gasket is damaged or the device is improper; if other gaskets or oil pipe joints are loose and ruptured, the leak can be seen from the outside. For traces of oil, check whether the connecting screws or oil pipe joints are loose and whether the gasket is broken.
2. The exhaust of the diesel generator set emits blue smoke, indicating that the oil is sucked into the cylinder and burned out. Check that there is inorganic oil in the intake pipe first. If organic oil, the compressor impeller shaft sealing ring of the exhaust turbocharger is invalid. The oil flows into the intake duct along the axis. The sealing ring should be replaced; if the intake pipe is dry and there is no For engine oil, check whether the valve guide sealing cap is intact, whether the clearance between the intake valve stem and the guide tube is too large, and replace and repair it.
