After filling the water tank with antifreeze, if the liquid level of the water tank is found to be lowered, fill it with clean soft water (distilled water is better) under the premise of no leakage, because the generally used glycol type antifreeze has a high boiling point and evaporates It is the moisture in the antifreeze, you don't need to add the antifreeze but add soft water. Be careful not to add hard water that has not been softened.
2. Discharge the antifreeze in time to reduce corrosion
Whether it is ordinary antifreeze or other antifreeze, it should be released at a time when the temperature becomes higher, to prevent the corrosion of the mechanical parts. Because the preservative added to the antifreeze will decrease or become invalid with the extension of use time, the antifreeze should be released in time according to the temperature, and the cooling pipeline should be cleaned after the antifreeze is released.

It is not recommended to change the cooling water, because the cooling water of the standby generator has been used for some time, and the minerals have been precipitated unless the water is very dirty and may block the pipeline and the radiator, even if the replaced cooling water has been softened. But it also contains minerals, which will deposit and form scale. The more the water is replaced, the more minerals will be precipitated and the thicker the scale will be. So, the cooling water should be replaced according to the actual situation. The cooling pipeline should be cleaned during replacement. The cleaning fluid can be prepared with caustic soda, kerosene, and water. At the same time, maintain the drain switches. Before the winter, replace the damaged switches in time. Bolts, sticks, rags, etc. cannot be used as replacements.

If the water tank cover is not opened when the water is discharged, part of the cooling water can flow out, but as the amount of water in the radiator decreases, the water tank is closed and a vacuum degree will be generated, which will slow down or stop the water flow.
