The "three filters" of diesel generator sets refer to the oil filter, air filter and diesel filter, which are used to filter impurities in oil, air and diesel respectively. How often should the "three filters" be replaced?
Oil filter
(1) First replacement time: The new engine shall be replaced after 50 hours of first operation, or 50 hours after the start of operation after medium repair and overhaul. (2) Follow-up replacement time: After that, it is generally replaced once every 200 hours. Please note, however, that this time may vary depending on the engine model, conditions of use and oil quality.
Air filter
(1) Replacement cycle: The replacement cycle of the air filter is usually 1000 hours. However, if the air quality in the area where the diesel generator set is used is poor, then the replacement interval of the air filter may need to be shortened. (2) Replacement basis: The replacement of the paper filter element is usually based on the air filter indicator tube, and it should be replaced immediately when the indicators all turn red.
Diesel filter
(1) First replacement time: The diesel filter needs to be replaced when the diesel generator set works for 50 hours for the first time.
(2) Follow-up replacement time: After that, it is generally replaced once every 400 hours. However, if the quality of the diesel used by the user is not good, the replacement cycle also needs to be shortened.
The replacement cycle of the "three filters" is not static, but needs to be determined according to the use conditions, working environment and the actual situation of each component of the diesel generator set. We recommend that you regularly check the contamination of the "three filters" and replace them in time according to the actual situation.
