Add Coolant To The Generator Radiator

Diesel engines generate a lot of heat during operation. The coolant circulates in the water tank and engine cooling system, which can absorb the heat generated by the engine, so as to maintain the engine in the appropriate operating temperature range, which is conducive to the full combustion of diesel fuel and can also ensure the normal operation of all parts of the engine. The following is an explanation of how to add coolant to the water tank of a diesel generator set.

1.Before adding coolant to the cooling system, make sure that the drain cover is closed and the drain plug is in the correct position.

2.Do not add coolant to the system too quickly to avoid the formation of air bubbles in the system.

3.The air must be exhausted through vents or filling holes. If the heater is connected to the generator cooling system,the heater control valve should be opened and the generator should be ventilatedduring the injection process.

4.When injecting coolant, the liquid level should reach 5cm below the welding surface of the filler plug.

5.After filling the coolant, pay attention to starting and preheating the generator. At the same time, check the coolant level and add it if necessary.
